Edward Nelson Sawyer

Born on March 3, 1946, in Clearfield, PA, to the late Paul and Catherine (Tibbens) Sawyer.

Edward’s jovial spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many during his fruitful years. Edward took pride in his work as a truck driver for Cherry Creek Woodcraft in Cherry Creek, NY, where his dedication and work ethic were unparalleled. His professional life was a testament to his unwavering reliability and the respect he garnered from his colleagues.

Family was the cornerstone of Edward’s life. He was a beacon of love and support to his children Tammy Sawyer (Eric Overend), Vicki Phillips, Paul Sawyer, Teresa Roberts, Steven Sawyer, Kevin Sornberger, Randy Lengrich, and Kelly Bennett. His sisters, Paula Langager, Sheryl Graham, Darlene Mackay, and Kimberly Ianaro will also hold dear their beloved brother’s memory.

Besides his parents Ed was predeceased by his companion Alta Lengrich. Edward’s legacy lives on through his adoring 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish their moments with him. His passion for life, infectious laughter, and kind soul will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
