David L. Burnett

Dave served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962, with an additional two years in the Naval Reserves. He was employed for 20 years by the 7-Up Company and later as a machinist by DC Rollform in Falconer.

Dave belonged to the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 and Celoron Moose Lodge 2587.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy Vergith Burnett whom he married March 30, 2002; three children: Christopher (Denise) Burnett of Jamestown, Michelle (Bob) Rizzardi of Lander, Pa., and Jeffery (Candy) Burnett of Frewsburg; two stepsons, Michael (Pam) Spiesman of Lakewood, Raymond (Tiffany) Spiesman of Ashville, and a stepdaughter, Theresa (Brad) Knight; and twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his first wife, Margo Sikes Burnett; and a sister, Judy Lefebvre.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. following visitation Wednesday. The Rev. Richard Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
