Anderson (Jon Klibonoff) of Bronxville, NY. She was the proud grandmother to Brian J. (Lauren) and Michael P. (Adrienne) Anderson, Madeleine Mei Lan, and Noah N. Klibonoff; proud great-grandmother to Molly H., Liza A., Brynn E., and Ty M.; sister-in-law to James M. Dandelski of York, PA; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Carolyn E. (Paquin) Ecklund and Lucy P. Dandelski, and brother Joseph H. Paquin, as well as brother/ sister-in-laws Frank O. (Howardine), Daniel O. (Mary), R. Quintus (Sondra), J. Timothy (Nanci) Anderson.

Ann Marie was born in Jamestown, NY on November 12, 1925, the daughter of the late Herman J. and Hazel A. (Strunk) Paquin. She was a 1943 graduate of Jamestown High School, then attended, and graduated from, Elmira College (NY) in 1947. She married the love of her life, Paul N. Anderson, Jr. in August 1948, after his graduation from MIT. They settled briefly in Corning, NY, but soon returned to their hometown of Jamestown, then Lakewood, NY. In 1969, they moved to Ann Arbor, MI, and in 1973, a final move to Winchester, MA, where they both delighted in being New Englanders. They enjoyed and achieved 61 years of marriage together.

For all her adult life, Ann Marie was very active in, and committed to, her volunteer work. Organizations that she supported, and held leadership positions in included, Creche, a woman’s organization supporting at-risk children in the community (Jamestown); Norden Club, a fraternal order preserving Swedish heritage (Jamestown); Elmira Alumni Board and Association (Elmira, NY); and Winchester’s Winton Club, whose mission states it exists “to exclusively support Winchester Hospital as a dedicated and diverse women’s nonprofit organization committed to providing various volunteer services and programs for the benefit of the hospital”.

Throughout her lifetime, Ann Marie was a “do-er” in the home. A consummate homemaker, no job was too large for her to take on – she tackled all projects inside and outside of the house, including painting the entire exterior of her home in Ann Arbor, MI. She also enjoyed sewing and knitting, creating lovely clothes and cozy sweaters, and she was positively famous for her winter mittens that she enjoyed creating for family and friends.

Ann Marie found great joy in spending time with her family, all things Christmas, especially decorating and cookie-making, hosting elaborate holiday dinners and open-houses for family and friends, boating with good friends, and car trips exploring New England with Paul, especially the coast of Maine. Growing up in the snow belt of western New York on beautiful Chautauqua Lake, she developed a keen interest in, and enthusiasm for, year-round weather “events” that she followed intensely, excitedly sharing updates, news clippings, and reports with all who would listen. She earned the nickname “meteormom”, which she even used as her email handle, a constant reminder of her love of Mother Nature.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, November 17, 2023, at St. Eulalia’s Parish, 50 Ridge Road, Winchester, immediately followed by interment of her ashes at Wildwood Cemetery, 34 Palmer Street, Winchester.
