CLYMER- Robert Dale LaCross, 76, of Clymer, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at St Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.
He was born February 23, 1947, in Cory, PA, the son of the late Walter D. and Wilma G. Clear LaCross.
Bob was a 1965 graduate of Clymer Central School. He then proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. After his service time, he worked in construction as a contractor and then as a truck driver for Regal Trucking in Ripley, NY and for Fairbank Farms in Ashville, NY for over thirty years before retiring.
He was a member of the Busti Men's Club, the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286, and the Truckers Union. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, watching the birds and turkeys in his backyard, his many dogs over his life, and most of all, time with family.
Bob is survived by his three children: Petra Winne of Clymer, NY, Brent (Kim) LaCross of Frewsburg, NY, and Heather (Paul) LaCross of Clymer, NY, eight grandchildren: Brandon Winne, Dakota Truex, Riley LaCross, Jade LaCross, Myah LaCross, Bobby Hoch, Emma Hoch, and Evelyn Evanzik, two great grandchildren: Easton Orton and Hunter Winne, three siblings: Barbara Hoitink of Mayville, NY, Stewart LaCross of Sherman, NY, and Dennis LaCoss of Silver Creek, NY, many nieces and nephews and his Jack Russell, Minnie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Charlene Coleman LaCross, a sister, Beverly Hoitink, and two brothers: Carl and Wayne LaCross.
At Bob's request, there will be no public services observed. A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
