Richard A. Carlson

He was born March 30, 1940 in Charleroi, Pa., a son of the late Raymond Emil and Nellie Fern Raymond Carlson.

Following high school, he attended both Buffalo State University and Morehead State University in Kentucky. He had been employed as a machinist by Falconer Glass Industries and in former years by several area manufacturers.

In earlier years, Richard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing with family. He was also a diehard Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Surviving are two daughters, Sunny R. Dingman (Robert) of Gowanda and Dawn M. Dole of Cattaraugus, and a son, Corey D. Carlson (Patti) of Jamestown; as well as 6 grandchildren, 5 step- grandchildren, and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

A private family service will be held. Visitation will not be observed.
