There are some who bring such a great light to the world, that even after they're gone, it remains. Steven D. Piazza, 64, of Jamestown NY, Victoria BC, and Mexico, unexpectedly left this world on August 20, 2023 while at his home in Mexico. He touched the lives of so many and was loved like no other. He was born in Jamestown NY, the eldest of three children, to William and Kathryn (Fuller) Piazza. He went to St. James School and later graduated from Jamestown High School in 1977. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Clarks Summit University in Pennsylvania and then a Master's in Business Administration from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Steven was the living embodiment of flow, friendliness, and a loving open heart. He was a well-rounded entrepreneur with a profound analytical mind. He asked critical and insightful questions, and with the help of a whiteboard and Venn diagrams, there was not a problem he couldn't solve. One of Steve's strengths, both personally and professionally, was his ability to connect with others, whether it was a CEO or a person who lived the simplest of lives. He took strangers under his wing with open arms, kindness, and generosity. But above all, he loved his family fiercely. Surviving besides his parents of Jamestown are his three children: Abbey (James Davey) Piazza of Vancouver, BC, Steven Piazza of Victoria, BC, and Mark Piazza of Peoria, Illinois; a sister, Karen Piazza Buck of Jamestown, and a brother, Patrick (Katrina) Piazza of Middle Village, NY; nieces Bethany Buck, Lindsey (Peter) Johnson, Ayla Piazza and a nephew Aidan Piazza. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion, 26 Jackson Ave., Jamestown, where friends will be received at 12pm, with a time of sharing and remembrance starting at 1pm. May your feet be forever bare and may you dance in the heavens with a style not yet seen. We love you.
