Shelley L. Sandquist

She was born on August 3, 1957 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Gerald E. and Nancy Kling Swanson.

She attended Southwestern high school and SUNY Fredonia where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She was employed by Heritage Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she worked as a social worker, and retired in July 2022.

Shelley was an avid reader. She was also a proud member of the First Lutheran Church of Jamestown. Shelley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years: David Sandquist whom she married on April 11, 1981 in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Lakewood, NY; two sons: Michael (Lindsey) Sandquist of Jamestown, Matthew Sandquist of Falconer; a daughter: Krista (Darrell) Sager of Ashville; a granddaughter: Clara Sandquist; two brothers: Jeffery Swanson of Erie, Timothy Swanson of Jamestown; and a sister: Susan Swanson of Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private funeral service will be held monday in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Private interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
