Jody S. Michel Anzalone, 68, of Waterford, PA, and formerly of Mayville, NY, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at the Greenfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Erie, PA, following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 6, 1954, in Silver Creek, NY, the daughter of the late Roy and Arlene Small Michel.
Jody was a 1972 graduate of Mayville Central School. She then earned a bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing from Brockport University. She followed in her dad's footsteps and loved working at the Chautauqua Marina in the summers and later on as the service manager. Jody also spent many years as a homemaker, raising her three sons.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, making rosaries, playing solitaire, scrabble, and working with Catholic Charities which lead her to be a regular visitor for the residents at local nursing homes. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family.
Jody is survived by her husband, Christopher A. Anzalone, whom she married October 16, 1993, in Bemus Point, NY, and three sons: Calin (Melanie) Preiss of Knoxville, TN, Cole (Miranda) Anzalone of Port Angeles, WA, and Kyrie Anzalone of Corry, PA, one grandson, Ryker Preiss, one brother, Keith (Tina) Michel of Jamestown, NY, one sister, Deborah Rosage of Hartfield, NY, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
At Jody's request, there will be no public services observed. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
