Patricia Ann Spina
Patricia Ann Spina of Louisburg, North Carolina passed away on March 21, 2023. Prior to relocating to North Carolina, she had been a long time resident of Ashville, New York.
She was born on Sept. 23, 1942 in Oneida, New York, the daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Havens.
For many years she was employed by the Big E bank as a bank teller. She also worked as an administrative assistant for Willcare, a Healthcare company.
Patty enjoyed growing flowers, golfing, painting, and volunteering at the Ashville Free Library. She was also an active community member in the Our Lady of the Snows, the Lakewood Legion, and the Ashville LLAMA Club.
Mostly, she was devoted to her family and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed playing with her grandkids and spending time with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Spina, who she married on July 1, 1961, and who passed away on Aug. 12, 2013. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Havens.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tammy (Steve) Baldwin, Licia (Jason King) Davis and Marcy (Kevin) Dye; her grandchildren: Jonathan (Val) Davis, Levi (Laurel) and Lydia Dye, Christie Gann, Christopher and Samantha Thigpen, Brenda (Hank) Keeping, Taylor (Julian) Smith, Hogan and Bryce Keeping, and Matthew (Cheryl) Baldwin, and two great-grandchildren, John and Eleanor Davis.
Memorial donations in Patty’s honor may be made to your local Hospice.
A service will be held on July 23, 2023 from 1-4 pm at the Lakewood Legion to honor the lives of both John and Patty Spina. Lunch will be provided.
