Lorene Lou Simpson

She was born Oct. 25., 1950 in Silver Creek, NY and is a graduate of Jamestown High School Class of 1968.

Lorene was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, having formerly served on the Church Council, and was a former Girl Scout Group Leader, former Falconer Volleyball Booster Club President, past president of Falconer Little League, and so much more. Lorene enjoyed baking and had a wonderful way of mothering everyone. She truly cared for both her family and each person she encountered.

Surviving is her husband, George Steven Simpson whom she married Dec. 1, 1972; four children: Steven (Heather) Simpson, Timothy (Audra) Simpson, Tarrin (Tim) Nocero, and Vicki (Peter) Larsen; and eight grandchildren: Richard, Hannah, Skylar, Emma, Makayla, Jaden, Maxwell, and Wesley. Also surviving is a sister, Judy Sheehan and nieces, Stacy (Jeremy) Kirschman, Amee (Marc) Nazario, and Lori Sheehan; and many great nieces and nephews.

Lorene was preceded in death by her father, Allen Philbrick and mother, Margaret Shaw.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer, NY. The Rev. Timothy Hoyer will officiate.
