Elizabeth A. “Betty” Sundquist, 76, of Hickory Street, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Busti, N.Y. surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born on June 21, 1946, in Pittston, PA, the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth German Andrews.
Betty graduated from Jamestown High School in 1965. She had a group of girls from the class of 1965 who stayed in contact and went to lunches together throughout the years. Betty previously worked as a Customer Service Representative for Taber & Taber and AW Access Agency. Betty retired as a Customer Service Representative from J. Edwards Insurance Agency.
Betty was an active member of Joy Fellowship FMC, where she was a board member, a teller and a former Sunday school teacher.
Betty’s main priority was raising and caring for her family. She served as a room mother, Scout leader and a Den leader when her boys were in school. Betty was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. “Pete” Sundquist whom she married on May 3, 1969 and who died on September 3, 2015; her son: Christopher Paul Sundquist (March 21, 2022) and an infant sister: Bonnie Lee.
Betty is survived by her son: Douglas Robert (Natasha) Sundquist of Busti, N.Y. and their sons: Landon Hooks, Dawson Sundquist and Jaxon Sundquist all of Busti, N.Y.; two brothers: Sheldon (Martha) Millard of Whiting, N.J. and Ronald Andrews of Falconer, N.Y.; her sister: Dorothy (Dail) Swanson of Escondido, CA; two sisters-in-law: Priscilla Sundquist of Jamestown, N.Y. and Martha (Bradley) Gustafson of Ashville, N.Y.; two brothers-in-law: Richard Sundquist of Jamestown, N.Y. and David (Lisa) Sundquist of Lowville, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; her best friend since elementary school, Kristin Brown. They shared many special times together throughout the years. They were in each other weddings.

Family and friends may call at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, Inc., 316 E. 5th Street, Jamestown, N.Y. on Wednesday from 5PM to 7PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11AM. Friends will be received from 10-11AM prior to the service. Rev. Dodi McIntyre, pastor of Joy Fellowship FMC will officiate. Dodi was also a dear friend to Betty. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamestown, N.Y.
