Chuck Stohlberg passed away on May 19, 2023 in Lafayette, CO. He was born on Oct. 12, 1944 in Jamestown, NY. He attended Jamestown public schools and he graduated from Jamestown Community College. He had lived at 20 Durand St. in Frewsburg, NY and 241 E. Terrace Ave. in Lakewood, NY. Chuck was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Frewsburg, NY where he was a past Council President and served on the Property Committee.
Chuck had many jobs in his career. Most notably he was the Maintenance Manager at Cummins Engine Company in Lakewood, NY. He also previously worked at Hopes Windows and Protocol in their Engineer Department and had also worked at Creal & Hyde Architects in Warren, PA. In later years, he was the Manager of the Westchester Apartments in Jamestown, NY.
Chuck loved sports and he played in various softball leagues. He also umpired many high school baseball and softball games. He played golf, participated in bowling leagues, and was an avid fisherman.
Chuck was a 33 year veteran in the military reserves at Niagara Falls Air Base as a medical technician and received the highest rank as an enlisted person, Chief Master Sergeant (E9).
Chuck is survived by his wife, Cindy of Lafayette, CO whom he married on March 18, 1967. He is also survived by two sons, a daughter, one son-in-law and one daughter in-law: Todd Stohlberg and Veronica Cepak of Firestone, CO, Jeff Stohlberg of Boston, MA and Amy and Greg Friedman of Missoula, MT. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Zollie and Bela of Missoula, MT and was preceded in death by one grandson, Shawn Stohlberg.
