DEWITTVILLE- Anthony David “Bubba” Lackner, 27, of Dewittville, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Hospital as a result of complications with Diabetes.
He was born September 13, 1995, in Jamestown, NY, the son of Dawn Thorp Schultz and the late Bryan Paul Lackner.
Anthony had attended Jamestown High School. He enjoyed music, photography, drawings, swimming, and doing tattoo art on himself, and was extremely proud of his hard work to become sober. Most of all he enjoyed time with friends and family, especially his niece and nephew.
He is survived by his mother, Dawn (Mark) Thorp Schultz of Dewittville, NY, two sisters: Victoria Baran of Bemus Point, NY, and Brittany Burkholder of Jamestown, NY, one brother, Tristan Hummell of Bemus Point, NY, one aunt, Rosanna (Bryce) Hatfield (AKA- Nana Banana, his “Rock”) of Ashville, NY, five nieces and nephews: Lucas and Anastasia Baran, Hailey, Aldyn, and Kolson Burkholder, his maternal grandmother, Ruby Thorp, his maternal grandfather, David Thorp, a great aunt, Debra M. Brown, and two cousins: Stacey Caldwell and Shaun Brown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bryan Paul Lackner, his paternal grandparents and a great-uncle, Martin Thorp.
The funeral will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). The Rev. Al Meyers will officiate. Burial will be in the Chautauqua Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service (10 AM – 11 AM) at the funeral home.
