Susan K. Scarantino, 67, of Ashville, New York (formerly of Randolph NY), passed away on March 30 2023 after an extended illness.
Susan was born on July 24, 1955 to parents Harold and Marcia Town of Ashville, New York.
Susan spent her formative years in Celeron, New York and was a 1973 graduate of Southwestern High School.
She then moved to South Florida for 14 years where she raised her son and had a very successful career in the beauty industry, before eventually deciding to move back to the area she called home.
Susan was a proud advocate for both children and animals. She was never without a dog at her side, her favorite breed being the boxer, but she adored her current furry companion Sybil, (a Bichon) just the same. She enjoyed learning from and watching any program centered around animals and the Alaskan Wilderness, especially black bears as they were her favorite.
She was a dedicated and loving daughter, friend, wife to her husband of 30 years and most of all Mom to her two children and took much pride in that duty. Susan relished in her role as a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for many years as her unique knack for art and decorating always turned any house into a home. She had such talent in art, that she made a career out of selling her fabulous Shabby Chic designs for many years. She and her husband were avid collectors of antiques and of course, anything sparkly.
Susan took much pride in her morals and values and was a natural born teacher with an innate ability to connect to anyone she crossed paths with. She was always offering honest advice and words of encouragement for anyone in need, whether it be a passing interaction at the store with a stranger, or to those closest to her. She will be deeply missed by all of those who were honored enough to know her and to have received her love.
Susan is survived by her Husband Ross J. Scarantino, her son Nathan W. Roseman (Jody Weise) and daughter Victoria A. Scarantino (Brandon Crooks) as well as her brother Kurt W. Town and her nephew Kurt Town Jr. (Amanda Town and their daughter Caroline Town) as well as her Aunt, Donna Goldberg (John Goldberg)
