Susan Little

Susan, known to friends as Sue, was born Susan Virginia Ann Haley in Salamanca, NY January 17, 1941, to Audrey Groat Haley and John Haley. Sue had a strong Christian and Spiritualist belief and worshiped with the Church of the Living Spirit.

Sue grew up in Youngsville and attended Youngsville schools. She held a number of jobs throughout the years and enjoyed travel adventures across the country, particularly to Sedona. Sue loved dancing, movies, music, horseback riding, times with friends, and Native American culture. She will be warmly remembered for her strong will and beautiful (sometimes mischievous!) smile.

Sue is survived by her husband Donald, son Shawn, grandchildren Landon and Rebecca Little, her sister Sallie, and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved stepfather Harland Redmond, and her sons, Jeffrey, in 1963, and Daniel in 2016.

She will be particularly missed by her lifelong friend and chosen sister Connie McDaniel. They met in first grade and remained extremely close throughout Sue’s life. Sue will also be greatly missed by her many friends, including Bev, Mary, Lisa, and Susie who assisted Sue tirelessly in the months leading up to her passing, and remained by her side day and night in her final days.

Friends wish to thank Hospice of Warren County and the private caregiving team for the excellent care that allowed her to remain at home with her husband Don, as they both wished.

Memorials are welcome to be made to a charity of your choice. There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
