Josephine A. Campbell, 90, of Falconer passed away Tuesday (March 28, 2023) in the Lutheran Home.
A lifelong area resident she was born September 12, 1932 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Thomas and Grace Ognibene Polizzi.
Babe attended Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by the former National Worsted Mills. She was also employed by Mr. Donut, Jamestown Board of Education in the Cafeteria retiring in 1997. After retirement Babe had worked at the WCA Hospital Snack Shop.
She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, reading, bingo, bowling, playing cards, traveling, and attending concerts in Branson, Missouri. Babe had a kind heart and infectious laugh.
Surviving are four children: Debra (Robert) Santolla of Florida, Thomas D. Campbell (Lori Fitzpatrick) of Falconer, Richard G. Campbell of California, Russell L. Campbell (Janice Gee Barrus) of Fredonia; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard D. Campbell whom she married September 24, 1955, who died February 15, 2021; a daughter-in-law Karen Lohbeck Campbell; two brothers: Thomas and Russell Polizzi; three sisters: Sally Chiazzese, Ann Leone and Rosalie Velez.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
