Elizabeth (Simcheck) Blakeslee
Elizabeth (Simcheck) Blakeslee, 91, of Clymer, N.Y., passed away at Heritage Park in Jamestown, N.Y. on Saturday February 25, 2023.
She was born in Cambridge Springs, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Yusavage) Simcheck. On December 31, 1949 she married Donald Blakeslee, Sr. The couple had been married 69 years at the time of Don’s passing on August 23, 2018.
Elizabeth was an active member of the Mackey Hill United Methodist Church and the Findley Lake United Methodist Church.
Elizabeth is survived by children: Connie (Jim) Irons of Aiken SC, Donald (Joyce) Blakeslee, Jr., of Findley Lake, N.Y., Darlene (Mark) Schwab of Cambridge Springs, PA., and Eugene (Alicia)
Blakeslee of Clymer, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren and a sister, Shirley Simcheck of Cambridge Springs, PA.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Blakeslee, Sr.; her son, Jeffery Blakeslee; grand- children: Shannon Blakeslee and Shawn Blakeslee; brothers: Ed Simcheck, George Simcheck and Bob Simcheck.
A graveside service was held Thursday March 2, 2023 at Venango Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday April 13, 2023 at the Findley Lake United Methodist Church, 2862 North Road, Findley, N.Y. at 11 am.
