Dorothy Mae Judson Wendell

She was born September 15, 1931, in Milford, MI, the daughter of the late Harry and Julia Laurain Judson.

She was a 1949 Graduate of Milford High School. Dorothy was a lifelong member of the Mayville United Methodist Church.

Dorothy was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, GG Dot, sister, and friend. Her exceptional talents in sewing, needlework, quilting, cake decorating, and crafting lent naturally to her fully embracing her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, reading, games, and jigsaw puzzles.

Her kind and gentle nature, sweet smile, and willingness to support her family and friends will always be remembered and treasured.

Dorothy is survived by two sons; Howard Curtis (Amy) Wendell of Dewittville, NY, Timothy (Darlene) Wendell of Hartfield, NY, six grandchildren; James (Carolyn) Wendell of Vancouver, Canada, Jason (Lindsey) Wendell of San Diego, CA, Lisa (Jon) Sabella of Westfield, NY, Katie (Ken) Braun of Panama, NY, Rachelle Clark of Buffalo, NY, and Jared Clark of Mayville, NY, nine great-grandchildren; Tino, Wyatt, Charlotte, Reuben, Evie, JJ, Rhett, Justice, and Mason, and one sister; Sharon (Max) McCaslin of Kittanning, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Dr. Howard Louis Wendell DC, whom she married on January 28, 1952, in Howell, MI, and one sister; June Judson Misslitz.

The funeral will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). The Rev. Daniel Prewitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service 12 Noon to 2 PM, also at the funeral home.
