Larry Duane McElwain
Larry Duane McElwain, 85, passed away January 27, 2023, after a lengthy illness in his home in Glasgow, KY. He was born July 15, 1937, in Jamestown, NY. He was the son of George and Mildred (Milks) McElwain. He was married to Donna Sheesley McElwain for 31 years. Larry graduated in 1955 from Randolph, NY. High School and enlisted in the US Airforce, serving for 4 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers Milburn McElwain (Ruth) and Kenneth McElwain (Beverly); one sister, Maxine Wright (Howard); and his grandson, Lawrence Linkous. He had 2 sons Mark (Monnakae) Catoosa, OK. and Stephen (Jennifer) Kokomo, IN. 3 daughters, Michele Hosier, Betsy Barr (Robert), and Emily Groce , all Glasgow, KY; two step children, Scott Sheesley and Lacie Burks (Barry) Glasgow. He had 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Larry retired from SKF, Inc. in Falconer, New York after 22 years.
There will be a memorial graveside service on April 1 at 11 a.m. and he will be interred in the Randolph Cemetery in Randolph, New York.
