James “Jim” Matthew Nieder
James “Jim” Matthew Nieder of Lexington, SC, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born October 25, 1981 in Jamestown, NY, a son of Joseph and Tracy Weatherley Nieder.
Jim spent most of his life in Jamestown before moving to Lexington, SC in October 2019. His biggest passion was fishing and spending time with his boys. He also enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycle with his dad and brother along with watching hockey. He was an active member of Mount Sinai Church in Shelby, NC and was a volunteer firefighter for the Falconer NY and South Dayton NY Fire Departments.
Jim was predeceased by his grandparents, Paul and Arlene Nieder of Jamestown, NY; his grandmother, Laura Antico, formerly of Stockton, NY and grandfather, Daniel Weatherley of Olean, NY.
He is survived by two sons; Riley Nieder and Conner Nieder; brother, Paul (Dawn) Nieder of Lexington, SC; and sister, Tara (Jim) Ribaudo of Jamestown, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Levant Wesleyan Church in Falconer, NY 14733.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to his surviving sons at Levant Wesleyan Church, 1670 Lindquist Drive, Falconer, NY 14733. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
