Carl H. Miller

He was born July 13, 1937 in Conewango Valley, the son of the late Arthur W. and Mary Louise (Shipherd) Miller.

Carl attended Pine Valley Central School and had owned and operated Miller Dairy Farm in Conewango Valley from 1966-1987, he retired as a bus driver for Pine Valley Central School after 30 years of service.

He was a life member and past Vice President of the Ellington Fire Department, was a member of the Conewango Challengers 4-H Club, Chautauqua County 4-H, served as a volunteer the food pantry of Ellington, was a member of the Cherry Creek United Methodist Church, served a s past president of the C.S.E.A. and was also a member of the Farm Bureau. Carl loved spending time with his family.

Carl is survived by two sons: Duane C. Miller of Conewango Valley, and Jeffrey A. (Jennifer) Miller of Cherry Creek; three daughters: Lori A. Arnold of Conewango Valley; Teresa (Terry) Sheldon and Jennifer Miller both of Cherry Creek; eight grandchildren: Lucinda Sheldon-Nichola, Dustin Sheldon, Jill Owen,, Michael Miller, Mackenzie Miller, Andrew Miller and Katelyn Miller of Cherry Creek; and 3 great-grandsons, two brothers, Frederick and Edward Miller both of Texas, and a sister, Helen (Don) Ranks of Randolph. .

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret E. Hegerdon, whom he married on August 22, 1964 and who passed away on March 28, 2015, and a grandson, Ryan Miller in 2002.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7 PM, Monday, December 12, 2022 from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, from where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Rutledge Cemetery in Conewango. The Rev. Sue Fish-Ford will officiate
