George Heiser Jr.

George Heiser Jr., 74, of Clymer, N.Y., passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family, who saw him through several years of debilitating dementia.

He was born on Nov. 5, 1948, in Erie, Pa., a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Byrne) Heiser.

George was raised and educated in Erie, and graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1966. After High School, he worked at Cramer Motors in North East as the parts department manager and then for Gallup and TenHaken in Clymer. He answered God’s call on his life to be a pastor which he joyfully did at Cutting Community Church, First Baptist Church in Mayville, NY, First Baptist Church in Corry and Calvary Baptist Church in Union City. He loved preaching the Gospel but most of all he loved his wife and spending time with his sons and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed painting, trap shooting, hunting, gardening, being in the woods and woodworking. He was a member of the NRA.

George is survived by his wife, Judy (Darrow) Heiser, whom he married May 24, 1969, in Columbus, Pa.; three sons: Marcus (Julia) Heiser, Travis (Stacey) Heiser and Joshua (Jen) Heiser; 10 grandchildren: Bethany (Alec) Ragnetti, Tom (Michelle) Heiser, Jared (Mallory) Heiser, Nate (Anna) Heiser, Jessie (Travis) Curtis, Tatem (Lee) Barczyk, Tristan, Hayden, Alexis and Kevin Heiser; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Ellie Curtis, and one on the way.

A family private burial will be held at McCray/ Concord Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
