Rebecca Joyce (Hubbard) Beckstrom Ingrao

FALCONER — Rebecca Joyce (Hubbard) Beckstrom Ingrao, 97, of Falconer, passed away fully at her home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, with family at her side.
She was born July 11, 1925, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Theodore and Esther (McCray) Hubbard.
She graduated in 1944 from Chautauqua High School where she served as a secretary to her class.
World War II was raging and she wanted to be a part of it. So, she signed up to join the U.S. Navy to be a “W.A.V.E.S.” However, to her dismay at the time, the war ended. While working at National Worsted Mills, she met the love of her life, Angelo Ingrao, when she agreed to go on a blind date with one of her co-worker’s brothers. It was love at first sight and they were married on Dec. 6, 1947, in Jamestown, N.Y. After ing 58 years of marriage, sadly her husband died on Dec. 28, 2005. They shared the loss of their first-born twin daughters on Oct. 1, 1948. The first of their children was born in 1950 and three more children were added to their family.
For most of her life, she was a homemaker but had numerous jobs including working in the admissions department of WCA Hospital and ward clerk at Jamestown General Hospital.
She was an avid and accomplished seamstress, knitter and crocheter. She kept a meticulously clean home and always had a hot meal waiting for her husband and family when they returned from work and school.
She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, infant twin daughters; and sons: Angelo (Punky) Ingrao and Alleyn Ingrao; a brother, Robert Beckstrom and sisters: Jacqueline Beckstrom and Elizabeth (Tiny) Delahoy.
She is survived by a son, Randall (Maryann Eva) Ingrao; daughter, Candace (John) Fafinski; and grandchildren: Lars Ingrao of Rogersville, Tenn.; Alyssa (David) Riley, Renee Ingrao (Ryan Conner), Christopher Ingrao, all of Virginia; Nolan Ingrao (Emilly Millibrand) of Jamestown, N.Y., Lukas (Kaitlin) Ingrao of Falconer, N.Y., Thomas Ingrao (Sharon Barrus) of Falconer, N.Y., Fawn (Erin) Schuster of Mayville, N.Y., Jenny (Ryan) Aman of Farmington, N.Y.. and Nathan (Cortney) Beckerink; siblings: JoAnne Acker and Carol Lambert of Florida, Donald Beckstrom of North Carolina, MaryAnn Behler of Texas, and Sandra Anderson of Ashville, N.Y.; great-grandchildren: Sofia Ingrao, Charlie Riley, Kamron Wolfe, Alexia Wolfe, Gavin Wolfe, Arleigh Wolfe, Jaxton Conner, Vincent Ingrao, Cala Grace Schuster, Anya and Roan Aman, Olivia, Billie and Kholin Beckerink; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at the Our Lady of Loreto Roman Catholic Church in Falconer, N.Y. (309 W. Everett St). Father Donald Watkins will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Chautauqua Cemetery. A reception will be held following the Mass at the Falconer Moose.
