Josephine “Sally” Lumia Genco

She was born on March 15, 1929, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Samuel and Louise McCase Lumia.

Josephine was a 1947 graduate of Jamestown High School.

She was a former member of St. John’s Catholic Church and Sacred Heart RCC in Lakewood, NY.

Surviving are her two daughters: Rosalie (Fletcher) Ward of Bemus Point and Cindy (Chris) Fitzpatrick of Jamestown; two sons: Raymond (MaryAnne) Genco of Jamestown and Chip (Barb) Genco of Frewsburg. She was greatly loved by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Carl Genco, whom she married on August 2, 1947, in Falconer; a brother Anthony Lumia, and a sister, Jenny Bauer.

As per Josephine’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held.
