Nancy Lee Foster

She was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Sheffield, Pa., and was a long time resident of Jamestown, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Erickson Gacek; her father, Joseph G. Gacek; and her sister, Patricia Gacek.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Harold A. Foster Jr. of Myrtle Beach; her daughter, Tamra Gacek of Columbia, S.C.; her niece, Lisa Michos Turcotte of Buffalo, N.Y., great-nephew, Adam M. Turcotte; and great-niece, Helaina G. (Lainy) Turcotte, also of Buffalo, N.Y.; and a great many lifelong friends and cherished neighbors.

Nancy graduated from Jamestown High School in 1959 and worked as a classified ad administrator at the Jamestown Post- Journal, and administrative assistant at Marlin-Rockwell and Web Machinery.

Nancy was loved by many for her smile, kindness, and sense of humor. She enjoyed keeping up with friends and family through beautifully written letters and cards and appreciated the simple moments in life like feeding the hummingbirds, caring for family pets, or visiting with neighbors. She will be greatly missed and remembered by those who knew her.
