Lawrence Thomas “Tom” Pike

Lawrence Thomas “Tom” Pike, 76, of 3 Metcalf Ave., Jamestown, died Thursday. Sept. 22, 2022, in UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born Dec. 5, 1945, in Jamestown, the son of the late Lawrence and Loretta Anderson Pike.

He was a 1963 graduate of Southwestern Central School and served in the US Navy from 1963-67.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities as a foreman. He earlier had worked for Coca Cola, Blackstone, and Super Market Services.

He was a member of Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion.

Surviving are two sons: Kary Pike of Jamestown, and Michael (Rene) Pike of Las Vegas, Nev/; two grandchildren: Allyson Pike of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Nathan Pike of Frewsburg; and a great-granddaughter, Kalli Flowers of Pittsburgh.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Candice Johnson Pike, whom he married March 16, 1968, and who died June 24, 2018; and a sister, Nancy Johnson.

A private graveside service will be held in Sunset Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Visitation will not be observed.
