Delores S. “Dodie” Erickson

A lifelong resident of Jamestown, she was born to Charles and Almina Rounds Seager, May 4, 1933, the eldest of six children.

She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1951 and WCA Hospital School of Nursing in 1954.

She was employed by WCA Hospital for several years in the operating room and retired from Anesthesia Associates of Jamestown in 1993.

A member of Tree of Life Lutheran Church, formerly Holy Trinity, she served on church council and was a member of Labor of Love and Esther Circle.

Dodie is survived by her husband James A. Erickson, whom she married October 4, 1969, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; sisters Joyce (the late Thomas) Atkinson of Aberdeen, MD, Corolee (the late Charles) Dillon of Alpine, CA, and Sylvia (Clarence) Braley of Jamestown; nephews Matthew Kubinski, Charles Dillon, and Thure Fransen; nieces Amy Raffa, Kelly Ryan, Stacy Dorman, Kristen Bentley and several great nieces and nephews.

Dodie was preceded in death by her father in 1975, her mother in 1991, sister Cynthia Fransen in 2011, brother David Seager in 2016 and nephew Jeffrey Seager in 1975.

Arrangements will be announced by the Lind Funeral Home.
