Velmon ‘‘Jerome’’ Boyd

He was born Jan 25, 1968, in Dunkirk, N.Y., son of Velmon Lee Davis and the late Mary Ann Moreland. He had a life-long partner, Holly Fredrick.

Loving father of daughters: Ericka Boyd, Kiara Boyd, Alisia Boyd and late Xaria Boyd; sons: Velmon Boyd, Jaquan Boyd (husband, Frank), Eric Boyd, Tyrone Boyd wife, Arnessa), ,Javon Boyd, Jaycieon Boyd, Jaheem Boyd and Tremaine Boyd. Grandchildren: Lanceston DeNisco, Raelynn Boyd, Jonathan Alicea-Bonilla Jr., Damarion Boyd, Jayda’Lynn Boyd, Lillian Boyd, Semya Hall and Kyrie Hall.

He is also survived by his sisters: Myra, Jaquetta, Darlene, Sherry, Roxanne, Linda and Michelle; brothers: Shaunn, Kevin and Calvin; and by many nieces and nephews. Jerome is also survived by a large extended family.

He was proceeded in death by daughter, Xaria Boyd; sister, Lisa Ready; and brothers: Tremayne Moreland Velmon Lee ‘Piggy’ Davis.

Jerome was a devoted cook. He was employed at numerous restaurants over his lifetime. Looking back Mr. Boyd was truly a family chef as he would bond with his children in the kitchen and over many breakfasts and dinners. So many memories to cherish in a life that was cut far too short. His love will forever be engraved in the hearts of his children and close family.

Calling hours will be held, Friday, Aug. 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Fanatauzzi Funeral Home, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia, N.Y.

A celebration of life will be held ay Dipietro’s Event Center immediately after viewing.
