Ryan Stuart Monroe

LITTLE VALLEY — Ryan Stuart Monroe, 31, of Eagle Street, Little Valley, formerly of Great Valley, passed away unexpectedly of unknown circumstances on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at home.

Ryan was born August 15, 1990 in Olean General Hospital, the son of Leonard J. Monroe and Lowry Ann Quinn.

He was a 2008 graduate of Ellicottville Central School and Ellicottville BOCES (Mechanic). Ryan was a talented chef for many years and had most recently was the Chef for The Bear Brick in Little Valley. He had previous chef jobs in Ellicottville at EBC, Kabobs and Balloons.

Ryan was a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, he enjoyed camping, kayaking, avid music lover, and he enjoyed attending concerts and festivals. He will be missed by his fur buddy, his dog Titan.

He is survived by his Fiance’ Calla Lee Wagner, father, Leonard (Sharon) Monroe of Kennedy, mother Lowry Ann Quinn (Jack) Raecher of Buffalo, a brother; Brock (Rochelle) Monroe and their son Blake, all of Ellicottville, three sisters, Kayla Raecher and Allison Raecher, both of Great Valley, Kaysie Raecher of East Otto, Joshua Stacey of Kennedy, Ryan Stacey of Lockport.

He is additionally survived by his paternal grandmother, Joan Wright Hale (The late George) of Randolph, Maternal grandparents, Linda (Lafferty) Quinn and Robert Quinn both of Great Valley, two uncles, Lee (Kimmy) Monroe of Conewango Valley, BJ (Nichole) Quinn of Great Valley, two aunts; Lynne (John) Quinn of Mansfield, and Christina (Scott) Grant of Great Valley, nieces and nephews, Riley, Marlee, Grace, Judson, Marshall and Mikey. He was preceded in death by his uncle Michael Monroe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday August 22, 2022 at Dina’s Banq in Ellicottville beginning at 2 p.m.
