Carol Jean (Andersen) Bartolo

Carol Jean (Andersen) Bartolo, 87, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022.

Carol was born Feb. 25, 1934, in Warren, Pa., the daughter of the late Norman and Mildred McKendrick Andersen.

Carol and her late husband, Thomas Bartolo, were partners in the Red Coach Inn in Lakewood for many years. They later owned and operated the Mr. B’S restaurant and tavern in downtown Jamestown for many years until retirement.

Carol was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Carol was known to her family and friends as a great cook. Her baking, her spinach bread, her peanut butter pie, and many other favorites will long be remembered by those who had the pleasure to know Carol.

Carol is survived by her daughters: Joann Bartolo-Frazier of Bemus Point, N.Y., Michele Bartolo-Howell (Kevin) of Hockley, Texas, and Christine Barto-lo-Martinez (Cris) of Houston, Texas; the joys of her life, her grandchildren: Tom (Ashley) and Joe Frazier, AnnaCristine and Christopher Thomas Barto-lo-Martinez; her sister,, Norma (Anthony) Nagurney of Youngsville, Pa.: and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in her death by her husband, Thomas Bartolo, on May 28, 2010; and brother, Charles “Chuck” Andersen on Jan. 5, 2010.

A celebration of Carol’s life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
