James Robert Davis

Davis had worked as a long-distance truck driver in his younger years. Later he worked various jobs in Jamestown with his most recent as a bartender. Until he wasn’t able to. He had served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

James enjoyed sports mainly football with his favorite team being Pittsburg Steelers. He was an avid pool player and loved fishing. He also enjoyed doing scratch off tickets. He loved to make people laugh with his humor and people would often call him smiley.

James is survived by his mother Rachel Davis. His significant other of 22 years, Belva Calkins. Family Chris Calkins, Doug and Michelle Calkins, Abert and Marge Dunn, and may grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hubert Funeral Home 111 S. Main Street Jamestown N.Y. 14701.

As to his wishes he will be cremated, and a private memorial will be held at a later date.
