Bonnie Nash

Bonnie Nash passed away quietly in her home July 16, 2022 at the age of 90. She was born in Jamestown, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Gladys (Derby) Krotzer; her sister, Donna Roller; her husband, Charles Nash; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Bonnie is survived by her sister, June Strickland Mallery; her four daughters, which are Kathleen (Don) Larson of Brockport, N.Y., Karen (Duane) Hultberg and Kay (Steve) Ribbing, both of Jamestown, N.Y.. and Kristie Kelly (Victor Murphy) of Mayville, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews..

Bonnie was employed for over 30 years as a medical secretary at Westfield Memorial Hospital. After her retirement, she spent time making pies for her daughter’s restaurant, TK Ribbings/Davidsons.

Many people would call Bonnie the Pie Lady. Her pies were well known and loved throughout the region. Bonnie had a love for animals, especially dogs and birds. In her later years, she loved seeing the birds out her window at the feeder. She was also a very gifted artist. This included playing the piano, singing, and painting. One special memory our Mom shared with us, was at age 9, she was singing “America the Beautiful” solo in a concert at school when Pearl Harbor was bombed on Dec. 7, 1941.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday July 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. for 1 hour at the Lind Funeral Home in Jamestown, N.Y. A service will immediately follow at noon. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Ashville, N.Y.

]In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua Fire Department or North Harmony United Methodist Church.
