Cecelia D. Dhondt

She was born Sept. 7, 1957, in Scranton, Pa., a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret Frances Lemming Dhondt, Sr.

Cecelia was a graduate of Jamestown Business College.

Before her retirement in 2021, she was employed by the WeberKnapp Company for 25 years.

Surviving are her children: Bonnie Dhondt of Charlotte, N.C., Patrick Dhondt and Autumn Ortiz, both of Jamestown; her grandchildren: Dontae Lockett, Kenease Mims, Keyan Mims, Telly Ortiz, Nina Ortiz-Monge, Jayla Dhondt, Jude Dhondt; her great grandchildren: Benjamin Jr., Bryce, Blaze and Bella Monge; her siblings: Louis Dhondt, Patricia Dhondt, Peggy Dhondt, Kathleen Dhondt, Diana Brooks; her brother-in-law, Donnie Brooks; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who was loved by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Butch Dhondt; two grandsons: Quinn Ortiz and Connor Dhondt; a sister, Florence Guest; and two brothers: Raymond, Dhondt Jr. and Daniel Dhondt.

The funeral will be held at 11:30 am Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 3-5 pm Sunday, June 26, 2022, in the funeral home.
