Andrew Bruce Johnson
Andy Johnson, 65, died unexpectedly Feb. 5, 2022, at UPMC Hamot hospital.
He was born Sept. 1, 1956, in Corry Pa., the son of Bruce Allen Johnson and Mary Lou Crawford (Coon).
Andy was educated in the Corry and Clymer schools, then continued his education at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport. Pa., where he studied diesel mechanics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth Babcock; and his faithful dog, Squirt.
He leaves behind his daughters: Sarah Elizabeth Babcock of Clymer, N.Y. and Shelly (Will) Kruger of Jacksonville, Fla.; his former wife and mother of his children, Denise Craday of Findley Lake, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Hunter Babcock, Jackson Babcock, Brysen Kruger and Savanna Kruger.
Also, a bonus mom, Toni Johnson of Corry, Pa,; brother, Christopher (Cindy) Johnson of Columbus, Pa.; four sisters; Debby (Jerry) Schurman of Clymer, N.Y., Kate (Steve) Spiegel of Edinboro, Pa., Julie (David) Geel of Corry, Pa., and Kelli (Michael) Brigham of Clermont, Fla. Three bonus sisters: Jami Wolf of Morse, Iowa, Jeri (Eric) Elmquist of Corry, Pa., and Jessi Fogle of Irvine, Pa. Andy loved his many nieces and nephews.
Andy worked as an electrician and an auto body repairman throughout his life. He had a knack for refurbishing old cars. He was an avid gardener on his farm. He loved reading books and had an incredible library of his own. His Bible collection was amazing and he shared his love of Jesus with everyone. Andy had a great sense of humor and infectious laugh. He will be missed!
The family will have a celebration of his life at a later time and we will invite you to share a few good memories of Andy.
