Zachery William Schwartz

He was born Sept. 12, 1995, in Westfield, N.Y., the son of Scott Schwartz and Lacie Raynor Gross.

Zach was a 2013 graduate of Chautauqua Lake Central School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a mommy’s boy, and loved spending time with his cousins, extended family, and especially with his son, Ayden.

He is survived by his son; Ayden Michael Schwartz of Falconer, N.Y.; his mother, Lacie (Jeremy) Gross of Westfield, N.Y.; his father, Scott (Dawn) Schwartz of Mooresville, N.C.l his step-father, Michael (Sheila) Mockus of Laurinburg, N.C.; two sisters: Alyssa (Nick) Ondreako of Chautauqua, N.Y., and Brittany (Casey) Mulkins of Mayville, N.Y.; two brothers: Thomas and Charles Mockus of Laurinburg, N.C.; maternal grandparents: Richard and Debra Raynor of Westfield, N.Y.; step-maternal grand-father, David Gross of Erie, Pa.; two uncles: Jeremy (Shelly) Raynor of Springville, N.Y.; and Damian (Alicia) Raynor of Westfield, N.Y.; one aunt, Amber (Paul) Murry of Mayville, N.Y.; two cousins who were like brothers to him: Damian Raynor and Carter Dearing; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Zach was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Zackery J. Gross; an aunt, Karen McIntyre; paternal grandparents, Donald and Virginia Schwartz, and step-paternal grandmother, Mamie Mockus.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St).

Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m., for visitation on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at the funeral home.
