Sherwood D. Anderson

He was born March 10, 1945, in Jamestown, the son of Fred and Ruth Haller Anderson.

Sherwood was a 1963 graduate of Frewsburg High School and a 1969 graduate of LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

He taught school in Florida, and had worked at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

Along with his wife, Rebecca, he owned and operated Sherbeck dairy farm in Kennedy. He had also been a bus driver for Falconer Central School.

In addition to his wife, Rebecca Bodden Anderson, whom he married in 1968, he is survived by four sons: Christopher F. (Stephanie) Anderson of Cazenovia, N.Y., Brent V. (Daniele) Anderson of Sinclairville, Darren H. (Jennifer) Anderson of Gerry, and Jared D. (Amrita) Anderson of Staley, N.C.; nine grandchildren: Ben and Julia Anderson of Sinclairville, Dylan Anderson of Cazenovia, Hailey, Emiley and Caleb Anderson of Gerry, Meera and Jaramy Anderson of Staley, N.C., and Ashley (Tyler) Dykstra of Jamestown; two brothers: Ronald (Nancy) Anderson of Frewsburg and William (Nan) Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO.; three nephews, one niece, and numerous cousins.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.

Pastor Joe Pascoe of Park United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

Masks will be required.
