Robert L. King Sr. ‘‘Bob’’

Robert L. King Sr., 78, passed away at home peacefully, after an extended illness, under the care of Hospice on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022.

Robert was born on Dec 28, 1943, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of Daniel King Sr. and Ruby Crocker King.

Bob worked initally in construction with Woody Hall then moved into over the road truck driving with various companies including Sysco/Flickengers. Bob worked for many years for the NYSDOT retiring in 2005, then continued driving with Midwest Transit retiring from there in 2007.

Being a truck driver with nerves of steel, he taught many teenagers how to drive. He also enjoyed spending many hours in the garage with his brother, Ed and son, Woody building pick up trucks.

Bob was a life member of Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Department, where he was dedicated to helping others. He will be remembered as a loving and caring family man who always put his family first.

Bob was preceeded in death by his parents and six siblings: Daniel, Edward, Ralph, Alberta, Sandra, and Linda. Father-in-law, Leon Malloy and in-laws, Woody and Jennie Hall

Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Lou Malloy King; sons: Woodrow King (Michele), Robert King Jr (Anne), Samantha States (Mark), Dennis Pastore (Carline), Rhonda Pilarski, and Raynal Elderkin; sister, Lillian Arnold (Ron); mother-in- law, Virginia Malloy; sisters-in-law: Martha King, Ricky King, Peggy Malloy and Diane Malloy (Archie); and brother-in-law, Doug Malloy (Lori). 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many neices and nephews, including his neice, Rondee Boyland, who spent many hours helping to take care and comfort him.

The celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022. at the Sinclairville Fire Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care or Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Department.
