Margaret M. “Marge” McDonough

Marge was born on Oct. 30, 1944, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa Ventola Velie.

Marge owned and operated the Lunch Box in Long Point State Park, she cleaned the Bemus Point and Chautauqua Post Offices and she retired from McDonalds.

Marge looked forward to going to Brushwood and the Blue Heron Festivals with her daughter, Theresa over the years. She loved Elvis Presley and Fleetwood Mac. She loved her family and spending time with them. Marge liked to joke around and gave people a hard time. She was full of spunk right up to the end.

Marge is survived by her two daughters: Serina (David) Hughson and Theresa McDonough, both of Bemus Point, N.Y.; her son, Shawn (Dori) McDonough of Amherst, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Andrew Ninham (Cassandra Becker) of Jamestown, Christian Cornell of Batavia, N.Y., Nathan and Megan McDonough; five great-grandchildren: Soren Ninham, Quinton, Qa’von, Makye and Addyson; three life-long friends: Debbie Zogrephos, Maria Blake and Margaret Golden.

In addition to her parents, Marge is preceded in death by her husband, James McDonough.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
