Loye D. Albright Sr.

Loye D. Albright Sr., 81, of Rt. 474, Panama, NY., died Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at his residence.

Loye was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Martinsburg, Pa., to the late David and Myrtle Arlene Dick Albright.

He was raised and educated in Clymer, N.Y., and graduated from Clymer Central High School in 1959. Loye has worked for several companies over the years, including MFG and Hillendale. Most recently he worked for Maplevale and Farmers Mill in Sherman, N.Y., as a truck driver.

Loye served as town justice of Clymer for 14 years. He was a history and sports enthusiast, and enjoyed watching old movies and listening to country music.

In addition to his parents, Loye was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Middleton; and a brother-in-law, Richard Cavness.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Green Albright, whom he married on Jan. 26, 1963, in Lincolnville, Pa.; three daughters: Brenda Dobrick and husband, Donald of Raleigh, N.C., Karen Bensink and husband, Scott, of Findley Lake, N.Y., and Lori Ludden and husband, Tony of Olean, N.Y. ; one son, L.D. Albright and wife, Debbie, of Clymer, N.Y.; two sisters; Shelvy Kostreba and husband, Gary,of Erie, Pa., and Beverly Cavness. of Jamestown, N.Y.

Loye is survived by nine grandchildren: Jennifer Stone, Petra Grier, Alex Lictus, Andrea Bull, Daniel Lictus, Albert Bensink, Kyle Ludden, Rachel Albright and Haley Albright; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

A funeral service was held Wednesday with the Rev. Thom Daubenspeck officiating.

Burial was at the Clymer Center Cemetery, Clymer, N.Y.
