Jason M. Brown

Jason M. Brown, 41, of Bragg Road, Randolph, formerly of Ellington, passed away Wednesday, (Jan, 12, 2022 in his home, after an extended illness and his family at his side.

He was born May 12, 1980, in WCA Hospital in Jamestown, the son of Joseph Brown of Jamestown and Barbara Doty of Falconer.

He was a 1998 graduate of Falconer Central School and was employed by WCA Services/ Allstar as a paramedic from 2011 to present, and also concurrently as a paramedic (2013-present), and personnel & public relations manager of the Randolph Regional Emergency Medical Services Corp. (2018-20).

Jason was a member of the Randolph Fire Company, where he served as 1st assistant chief 2019-21, Ellington Volunteer Fire Department 1999-10) as a past president and first assistant chief. He additionally served on the board of directors of the Randolph Regional EMS.

He loved his family dearly, cherished his wife and best friend, Dara. In life, he was always looking for a way to help others. He also loved mowing his large lawn and playing with his four children.

He is survived by his parents, his wife, Dara L. (Shelters) Brown, whom he married on June 11, 2011 in Ellington; four children: 8 year old triplets: Joslyn Louise, Keira Rose and Ethan Jason Brown, and 11 month old son, Bennett Dawson Brown; five siblings: Vincent Baran III, Joey Brown and Michael Brown of Jamestown, Andy Brown and Charlene (Mitch) Young of Colorado; paternal grandmother, Joyce Albaugh; maternal grandfather, Vincent (Lanna) Baran; and a special uncle, Rick (Michelle) Brown of Jamestown, as well as numerous cousins.

Jason was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Margory (Walker) Doty and Harold Doty; paternal grandparent, Chrystal Brown; and maternal great-grandmother, Florence Walker

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-7 p.m., Friday (Jan. 14, 2022) from the Van-Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, N Y 14772.

Funeral services be held privately Saturday (view on Facebook Live at noon @howie vanrensselaer) Harry Uhl will officiate. Burial will be in the Sample Hill Cemetery, Randolph. MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SERVICES.
