Barbara J. Robbins, 87, of Mint Hill, N.C., formerly of Falconer, N.Y., passed away at home, Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. She was the wife of Richard W. Robbins, whom she married April 24, 1954.
Barbara was born Aug. 9, 1934, in Jamestown, N.Y. She graduated from Falconer High School in 1951. She and her husband Dick resided in the Falconer area where they raised their family until moving to Charlotte, N.C., in 1980.
Barbara handled administrative duties for Robbins Veneer, Inc. for many years, and after moving to Charlotte, she worked in the restaurant business with her husband, Dick, son, Randy and close family friend, Jerry Anderson, co-owners of Pizza, Etc. She retired and spent many years traveling throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and China.
Barbara enjoyed golfing and bowling and attended many sports, music, and dance events to watch her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Dick; her children: Rick (Julie) Robbins, Mooresville, N.C., Cindy (Rick) Springfield, Fair Play, S.C., and Randy (Charlotte) Robbins, Mint Hill, N.C.; son-in-law, Bob Lundberg, Harrisburg, N.C.; grandchildren: Katie (Tim) Barker, Kim (Rob) Pilon, Kelly (Sonny) Broadstreet, Lindsay Robbins, Lori Robertson, Lisa Lundberg, Crista (John) Couchell, Ali Robbins and April (Trey) Johnson; great–grandchildren: Bryson Barker, Ansley Barker, Lily Broadstreet, Lucas Broadstreet, Wesley Adams, Elena Couchell, Sophia Couchell, Georgia Couchell and Iris Phillips; brother, Gail (Val) Nunn; special friends: Jerry (Cindy) Anderson and their children: Lt. Col. Nick (Katie) Anderson, Jenny (Kevin) McMahan and Laura (Dustin) Papenburg, whom Barbara considered part of her family. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many Lindquist and Trollan family cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Lundberg; grandson, Scott Lundberg; parents, George Trollan, Elizabeth and Rudell Nunn; and in-laws, Albert and Lillian Robbins.
