Donna W. St. Clair Pearson, 76, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday (Nov. 25, 2021) in UPMC Chautauqua.
She was born July 19, 1945, in Fairmont, WVa., the daughter of the late Rev. Donald and Mary Rose Merrifield St. Clair.
She graduated from Youngsville High School in Youngsville Pa.
Donna was an active member of the WCTU (Women’s Christian Temperance Union) holding various offices for local, state and national. She worked alongside her husband at Pearson’s Market for 30 years. She worked at Sears in Lakewood for over 10 years.
She attended Kidder Memorial UMC in Jamestown.
Donna is survived by her children: Pam (Dan) Willink of Elkhart, Ind., Debbie Winkler of Jamestown, Elizabeth Zilich of Jamestown, and David (Gena) Pearson of Panama. Grandchildren: Stephanie Willink of Elkhart, Ind., Ashley (Tyler) Slagle of Wakarusa, Ind., Andrew, Meghan, Ben, Ian and Rachel Winkler of Jamestown, PJ Zilich of Jamestown, Madie and Jackson Pearson of Panama. Great-grandchildren: Beckham and Sadie Slagle of Wakarusa, Ind., and Walker Winkler of Jamestown. She is also survived by a niece and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Pearson of 57 years, whom she married May 30, 1964; her parents, the Rev Donald and Mary Rose St.Clair; two brothers: James St. Clair and Ret. Lt. Col. Meredith P. St. Clair; and son-in-law, Walter Zilich.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorials be made to the WCTU (Women’s Christian Temperance Union) in her memory.
