Naomi Susan Galloway Bloomstran

Naomi Susan Galloway Bloomstran passed away on Nov. 4, 2021, at the age of 94.0

She was born in Dewittville, N.Y., on Nov. 11, 1926. The daughter of Vincent and Iva Harmelink Galloway. Naomi was a resident of Dewittviille, Bemus Point, and Littleton, Colo.

In 1944, Naomi graduated from Mayville High School and later from Doyle Beauty School. After employment with the Chautauqua County Welfare Department and Bank of Jamestown, she started her own beauty salon and was a beautician in Bemus Point for 47 years.

Family, community and church were very important to Naomi. She was a charter member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Bemus Point Study Club and Jamestown’s Marvin House. She loved playing cards and entertaining family and friends.

Naomi is survived by her daughters: Debby (John) Powell and Patty (Roger) Clary; two grandchildren: Hannah Powell and Brian Clary; and five great-grand-children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Bloomstran; and brother, Bruce Galloway.

At this time, there will be no services, but the family will have a gathering sometime in summer 2022.
