ORWIGSBURG ä Antonia Della (Vitello) Bellavia, 99, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Seton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Orwigsburg.
She was born in Anita, Pa., on Oct, 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Antonio and Dominica (Lamendolia) Vitello.
Della graduated from Jamestown High School in N.Y. She worked in childcare for the YWCA, for over 20 years.
On April 19, 1952, she married the late, Anthony Bellavia, in St. James Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown, N.Y.
She was a lifelong resident of Jamestown, N.Y. Della lived the last 16 years of her life in Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the Shamokin Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Della is survived by three sons: Sam Bellavia and wife, Debbie of Auburn, Anthony Bellavia and wife, Gretchen of Virginia, and Michael Bellavia of North Carolina; two daughters: Donna Mae of Jamestown, and Nancy Lounsbury and her husband, Don of Virginia; six grandsons: Stephen Bellavia, Timothy Bellavia and his wife, Rebecca, Scot Bellavia and his wife, Tori, Dan Lounsbury and his wife, Braiden, Brandan Bellavia and Justin Bellavia; four granddaughters: Sharon Pogar and her husband, Matt, Jennifer Heuneman and her husband, Mike, Amanda Tippett and her husband, Brad, and Melissa Lounsbury and her fiance, Vitas Grayer; nine great- grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Della was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Nancy Bellavia; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, 11 a.m. at Koinoni Christian Fellowship at 1427 Peck Settlement Road, Jamestown, NY 14750 with the Rev. Samuel Bellavia and the Rev. Stephen Bellavia officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, 655 Hunt Road, Lakewood, NY 14750. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m .until the time of service at Koinoni Christian Fellowship.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to YWCA Childcare Services, 401 N. Main St., Jamestown, NY, 14701.
