Sharon L. Hitchcock

Sharon L. Hitchcock, 70, of Falconer, formerly of Tempe, Ariz., passed away Sunday, (Oct. 24, 2021) in the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence, Warren, Pa.

She she was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Chautauqua, N.Y., the daughter of the late Clayton Casler and Irene Baker.

Sharon was a 1968 graduate of Southwestern High School and prior to retirement was employed by the Salvation Army Store.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading and spoiling her cats.

Surviving is her daughter, Theresa (Brad) Knight of Poland, Ohio; three grandchildren: Megan C. Todd of Ashville, N.Y., Brandon (Ashley) Spiesman of Mooresville, N.C,. and Katelyn R. Knight of Poland, Ohio; five great grandchildren: Olivia, Ava, Nora, Evan and Max; two brothers: Larry (Joyce) Casler of Mesa, Ariz., and Dan (Margaret) Wickman of Christiansburg, Va.; three sisters: Melody (Dan) Ahlbin of Jamestown, Holly (Doug) Hill and Kimberly Doudley, all of Pikeville, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas A. Hitchcock, whom she married April 16, 1985, and who died May 31, 2021; her father, Clayton Casler; mother, Irene Baker; stepfather, Dick Baker; and her paternal grandparents, Arloene and Lyle Casler, whom raised Sharon.

As per Sharon’s wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
