Patricia A. Crandall

A lifelong area resident, she was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late William E. and Mabel Eckendorf Kidd.

Before her retirement years, she was employed in the deli at Quality Markets for over 10 years. In earlier years, she had worked for the original Kentucky Fried Chicken in Jamestown and the Clarke Box Factory.

She was a member of the Busti Community Club, the Home Bureau, the Chautauqua Squares and was a volunteer for the food bank in Busti. She also loved animals, especially her cat, “Cleo”.

Surviving is a daughter, Karen Scholeno of Lakewood, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Michael (Jen) Scholeno of York, Pa., Joseph (Emily) Scholeno of West Ellicott, Donald Hetrick of New Mexico, and Barry Hetrick of North Carolina; and three great grandchildren: Sofia Scholeno, Luke Scholeno and Gianni Scholeno.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Crandall, who died Oct. 11, 2007; a son, Barry R. Crandall; a daughter, Melody Ufken; and her five brothers: Robert, Melvin, Roland, Norman, and William Kidd.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Lauren Csellak, chaplain of Lutheran will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
