Mary L. Ford

Mary L. Ford, 69, of 1158 Prendergast Ave., Jamestown, died Thursday Oct. 21, 2021, in St. Vin-cent Health Care Center, Erie, Pa.

A Jamestown native, she was born Febr. 20, 1952, a daughter of the late Clayton and Lois Hoyle Danielson.

She was a 1970 graduate of Jamestown High School, where she was in A Capella Choir and Madrigal Singers.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by The Resource Center as a secretary. She also had worked at Piece Goods, Joann Fa-bric and Ziebart Tidy Car and earlier in her life as a tailor on the U.S. Navy base in Georgia.

A woman with immense talent, she could accomplish many things with a sewing machine. She produced quilts, table runners and tailoring garments. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross stitch.

Surviving is her husband of 50 years, David C. Ford, whom she married July 9, 1971; three children: Nichole (Robert) Kopenski of Atlanta, Ga., Brandon (Elizabeth) Ford of Atlanta, Ga., and Renae Bordenkircher of Silver Creek, N.Y.; eight grandchildren: Jeanine “Beka”, Samuel, James and Maximus Kopenski, Brandon Ford Jr., Hannah Ford and Samantha and Joseph Bordenkircher; and a brother, Dale (Judy) Danielson of Missouri.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanine Seekings.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday in Cable Hollow Community Church.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the church.
