Catherine Whitacre, 69, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Oct, 16, 2021 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born June 28, 1952, in Gowanda, N.Y., the daughter of Clarence and Alice Whitacre.
After receiving her GED Catherine worked as a CNA. Her love of taking care of people made her career a very fulfilling one. She also enjoyed canning and watching her soaps.
Catherine is survived by four sisters; seven brothers; four children; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alice Whitacre; and grandson, Isaac Sutton.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 28, 2021, from 2-5 p.m., at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
