Alyce K. (Crammer) Shields

Alyce K. (Crammer) Shields, 80, of South Main Street, Jamestown, formerly of Randolph, went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua hospital.

Alyce was born October 30, 1940 in Bradford, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Cathleen (Kitchen) Crammer. She was a graduate of Falconer Central School.

She had worked previously at Blackstone Corp. in Jamestown, Ten Pin Lanes in Jamestown and as a Home Maker for her family. She was a member of the Zion Tabernacle Church in Jamestown. Alyce will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family, friends and her pets.

She is survived by three daughters; Elizabeth A. Ellis and husband Les of Little Valley, Melissa A. Shields of Lakewood, NY, Christine L. Shields of Jamestown, four sons; Timothy Linkous and wife Mindy of Virginia, Michael Linkous and wife Cathy of Kennedy and John Linkous and wife Sheena of Wellsville, NY, 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cathleen, a son Lawrence Linkous Jr. in 2016, her first husband, Lawrence Linkous Sr. and second husband Chester “Chet” Shields, as well as several siblings.

Services will be held privately for the family on Saturday (October 23, 2021) in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph. The Rev. Robert Reeves, pastor of the Zion Tabernacle Church will officiate.
