William Howard Clark

William Howard Clark

William Howard Clark, 78, of Flower Mound, Tex-as, passed away August 14, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.

Bill was born and raised in Warren. He was the son of the late Howard L. Clark and Meredith A. Hansen Clark. He graduated from Warren High School in 1960 and served 10 years in the Marine Corps, including a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was awarded three Purple Hearts. When he returned to the states, he was a drill instructor at Parris Island, S.C. He also represented the base on their rifle shooting team, traveling to competitions.

After his discharge in 1970, he returned to Warren for several years before moving to San Jose, Calif., and then later to the Dallas, Texas, area where he was a realtor for almost 40 years and had his own business, Bill Clark Property Management. Bill was passionate about hunting and the outdoors, Labrador Retrievers (most notably his beloved hunting dogs JR, Jayce and Rosie) and the music of Johnny Cash. A legendary story teller, Bill’s tales would often end with “Well, if it ain’t true, it outta be.”

Bill is survived by his two daughters: Kristin Clark of Flower Mound, Texas, and Trisha Clark of Denton, Texas; two brothers: Barry Clark and his wife, Doreen, of Warren, Pa., and Jeffery Clark and his wife, Michelle, of Wilmington, Del.; a nephew, Adam Clark of Erie, Pa.; two nieces: Rebica Clark of Greensboro, N.C., and Katelyn Clark of Warren, Pa.; and several great nephews, nieces and cousins. We are thankful for the time we had and cherish the memories he left with us. He will live on in our hearts and minds, always.

As per his wishes, Bill’s ashes will be scattered at his favorite See Forever spot at his hunting lease on the Duff Ranch near Christoval, Texas. The family will have a memorial gathering in Warren at a later date.
